Being a Dad

This is just the best thing ever! Everyone tries to explain the feeling of parenthood when you're expecting but nothing really prepares your heart for the love explosion that occurs when you see your little one for the first time. Little Riley can instantly turn any day from bad to good with one little smile!

Being a Dad has also taken my relationship with God to a whole new level. I understand clearer now how our heavenly father feels when we reach for things we think we want, but lack the maturity to operate in. Pastor Mike Hayes says that if God gave some of us everything we were asking for before we were mature enough to handle it, we would only hurt ourselves.

That's my two cents worth for today.
